Trader Joe’s Organic Tri-Color Quinoa Review

The first time I bought this tri-color quinoa I had some strange thoughts roll through my mind. Thoughts such as, “oh yeah, anything that’s multi-colored must be way healthier for you, and oh yeah, I’m being so healthy right now, this just feels so right buying this!” Now can anybody actually validate this claim? Or am I just being ridiculous!? I mean, multi-color is good when it comes to Fruit Stripe Gum, underwear, and snow cones. So surely, the same must hold true for this quinoa, right?! Anyways, lets get down to brass tacks here folks. There’s not much to say. This quinoa tastes just like every other quinoa I’ve ever had, colored or not. It’s of a fine quality, and I’ll definitely buy it again. The added bonus you get here though is an awesome placebo effect, because you are just being so healthy by eating it. As a side note, it looks better on the plate IMO if you are going for presentation. Give it a shot though, and let us know what you think down below! $2.99

Tri-Color Quinoa Usage Idea

I call this hippie mash. Why you ask? Well, it’s just really grainy, and I feel like I should be wearing Teva’s sandals and a tie-dye shirt whilst eating it, all while strumming my guitar singing some Bob Dylan. I digress, it is healthy for you though, and won’t make you turn into some granola worshiping freak just by consuming it. Like most of the things I do here, it’s really simple. I just combined some Trader Joe’s Tri-Colored Quinoa, Trader Joe’s Red Kidney Beans, Trader Joe’s Julienne Sliced Sun Dried Tomatoes in Olive Oil, Trader Joe’s Spinach, and Trader Joe’s Frozen Mushroom Medley. Watch out with those sun dried tomatoes though. It might make it a little too oily for some, so just use those accordingly.
