Trader Joe’s Phigment Red Wine Blend 2016 Review
I’m not really sure what’s up with the creepy looking head on the label of this wine bottle, or what’s up with the overly obvious play on words, but lets just cut to the chase and talk about the wine! First off, it is a bit darker and heavier in flavor than what most of us are probably used to finding in a blend, but it does work well here. I’m tasting some dark plum with a slight touch of a coffee flavor toward the finish. It is juicy, and not at all dry in my opinion. All in all, not bad bottle! If you’re looking for something heavier in the blend realm of wines, give this one a shot! Although they don’t specify the types of grapes used to make it, I’m gonna compare it to something like a cabernet and old vine zin mixture. Nothing more than my imagination at work here, but let us know what you think down below!
