Not all refrito beans are created equal. These are just alright in my book. The flavor is just ok. I’m not really sure what salsa style means. I was expecting to find some sort of bits of salsa mixed throughout. I know the ingredients say that they’re in there, but said morsels were hard to be seen and a challenge to detect by flavor or texture. The biggest thing about these beans that got me was the consistency. They are a little overly pasty in my opinion. I think a good refired bean should be ever so slightly on the oily/runny side. I know you can add water and stuff like that, but straight out of the can I’m still picking the TJ’s non fat refried beans can over these all day long. $1.29
