Trader Joe’s Cheddar Cheese With Caramelized Onions Review
This cheddar cheese definitely falls into the category of “interesting” to me. Not an all star in my eyes, but it may appeal to some palletes. The texture of the cheese is actually pleasantly creamy and it flakes quite a bit when you slice into it with a knife. It almost crumbles apart. The part that catches you off guard though is the almost sour aftertaste you are left with. The onions also throw a different flare of flavor into the mix too, and I’m just not sure this one really does a whole lot for me. One thought I had was, hmm, this cheese might not be best paired with wine, but with beer actually. Perhaps something like a nice cold red ale and a hunk of bread. Not disgusting by any means, but not a cheddar that I’ll likely buy again, especially seeing as how they have tons of other great cheddar options to choose from! But hey, what the heck do I know?
