Trader Joe’s Fior di Vino Chianti Classico Riserva 2014 Review
I feel stupid to admit this to the internet, but I bought this bottle of chianti because I thought the bottle looked classy. I mean, just look at it. Appreciate it for a second. It’s all orangey and pretty looking. Attention grabbing no doubt. I just assumed it would taste good. Goes to show you can’t judge a book by it’s cover, or a wine by it’s label. I mean, it’s not terrible, but I feel like chianti wines are usually a little more middle of the road, and therefore more generally predictable. This one threw me a little. It’s a slight shade on the dry side. I’m tasting sour plum. The finish is a little tart, like left over peach pits. I dunno guys, maybe I’m totally off the mark here. I’m not about to pour it down the drain, but I don’t think I’ll be buying this one again. What do you guy’s think though? Let us know down below! $6.99
