I imagine the fresh bread selection varies a bit depending on which geographic location your Trader Joe’s is located in, so maybe this article isn’t applicable to everyone out there, but if you spot this loaf in your local store definitely give it a try! Pretty good as far as fresh loaves go! Now of course you’ve got to hit the timing right, as if you buy this loaf late in the day or the following day after it was actually delivered, the experience will vary, but look for one that you can squeeze a little bit and feel a slight inner smushiness to, you know, like that pudgy girl/guy you used to date. The sourness of it is on the mild side, so I feel like it will appeal to a wider variety of flavor pallets and go well with most anything you intend to use it for. I just used it to make simple sandwiches this past weekend. Threw a few slices of prosciutto in the middle and off to the beach I went! Nice little crisp to the outside, appropriately chewey and fluffy interior, and just all around a good loaf of fresh bread. Once again, I just have to keep it down at the 3 chest level, as it’s just so hard to match a fresh baguette from a full on bakery, but for a loaf from a local grocer that does not have it’s own bakery inside the stuff just delivers time after time!
