Trader Joe’s Roasted Brussels Sprouts Review

Like many other products we buy at Trader Joe’s for the convenience factor, these Brussels sprouts are an awesome option to have at our disposal! They come pre-cooked, so all you have to do is heat them up a little and off you go. I think this is particularly important to have this option for something like Brussels sprouts, because they can take so much longer to cook than other things sometimes, and it’s just nice to be able to throw a few of these into whatever dish you might be preparing without having to spend lots of time ahead of the dish prep just getting the sprouts to where they need to be. As for the taste, they are right where they should be consistency wise, thoroughly cooked through, but not mushy to the point of over-done-ness. Also, you get this nice slightly toasted finish to them from when they were baked which enhances the flavor. You’ll probably need a little salt on them, or perhaps something else to flavor them up just a little bit, but you can throw these into so many different things. Sometimes I’ll just eat them by themselves too! They are that good! Let us know what you think, and let us know how you like to use them at home.

Brussels Sprouts Usage Idea

This recent pasta dish I made came out pretty good. I was shooting for fresh and green. Seemed to all come together nicely. The interesting thing here was that I didn’t boil the Trader Joe’s raviolis ahead of time. I simply took them right out of the freezer, sauteed them real slowly on a 3 setting for a good while with some Trader Joe’s Olive oil, some yellow onion, Trader Joe’s Mushroom Medley, and Trader Joe’s Brussels Sprouts. I let them cook all the way through, then just about as the whole thing was finished, I threw on some Trader Joe’s Baby Arugula and let it wilt just a slight bit. A little black pepper on the top and a dash more of oil, and that was it. Very simple.
